HTC has introduced another Android-based smartphone called Desire U. Slated for the Taiwan market, the new HTC smartphone is priced at 7990 New Taiwan Dollars (approx. $274 or Rs. 14,750). Details regarding the availability of the smartphone in other parts of the world are yet unknown. However, we expect the device to hit the Indian market later this year.
In terms of its specifications, the Desire U has a 4-inch display with a resolution of 480×800 pixels. Under the hood, it has a 1GHz processor (details unknown), along with 512MB of RAM. It has 4GB built-in storage, expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card.
The look of the Desire U is very reminiscent to the HTC Desire C, which we recently reviewed. The Desire C runs on Android 4.0.3 with HTC Sense, has a 600MHz processor with 512MB of RAM. The display is 3.5-inches with a 480 x 320 pixels resolution. It has a 5MP rear-facing camera. The built-in storage is 4GB expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. It has a 1230mAh battery.
The price of this HTC Desire U smartphone is set up around $275 (Based on androidcommunity site). Hope it soon arrive in our country.
